American Heart Association (AHA) Courses Offered by Northwest Community Health
At Northwest Community Health, we offer the following American Heart Association (AHA) courses designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and the general public. All courses are taught by certified instructors to ensure the highest quality of education.
Heartsaver CPR AED - $65
An additional $20 is added for the Provider Manual
This course teaches adult and child CPR, AED use, and choking relief. Perfect for individuals who need CPR certification for work, or for anyone who wants to be prepared in case of an emergency.
Basic Life Support (BLS) - $65
An additional $20 is added for the Provider Manual
The BLS course is designed for healthcare providers and professionals. It teaches high-quality CPR for all ages, the use of an AED, and how to respond to life-threatening emergencies in a healthcare setting.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - $150
An additional $50 is added for the Provider Manual
This advanced course is intended for healthcare professionals who respond to cardiac emergencies. It focuses on the recognition and early treatment of various life-threatening arrhythmias, as well as effective team dynamics and communication in resuscitation efforts.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - $150
An additional $50 is added for the Provider Manual
PALS is designed for healthcare providers who manage critically ill infants and children. It focuses on the assessment, treatment, and management of pediatric emergencies, including respiratory and cardiac arrest.
Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) - $200
PHTLS is designed for EMS and providers who respond to and care for the traumatically ill patient. This includes assessment, treatment, and special considerations in treating trauma.
Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) - $200
AMLS is designed to challenge the Paramedic’s assessment, differential diagnosis skills, and treatment decisions by going through scenarios where even the most seasoned provider is challenged.
Geriatric Education for EMS (GEMS) - $200
GEMS is a course that is focused on helping the providers understand the unique challenges that the geriatric patient faces, along with the considerations when treating the geriatric population for medical and traumatic emergencies.
Off-Site Classes Available
