Mobility Transportation

Many citizens with mobility needs often do not have access to a vehicle or need door-to-door assistance for routine travel within the Harris County ESD No.8 service area.

OUR GOAL: To maintain a quality of life for individuals who otherwise would not be connected to their essential transportation needs and more.

We do this by providing transportation services for medical and essential needs, such as doctor appointments, dialysis, banking, and grocery shopping. We can also accommodate other leisure-type transportation, such as self-care hair or nail appointments, visits to see the family, trips to the public library, and more.

Our mobility vehicles are staffed by courteous, professional drivers and equipped with state-of-the-art lift and restraint systems to accommodate regular, oversized, and electric wheelchairs.

**Starting March 1st, our service area is changing!!

These areas include Tomball, Magnolia, Waller, Cypress, Klein, Spring, and surrounding communities in the following zip codes: 77064, 77070, 77354, 77355, 77362, 77375, 77377, 77379, 77389, 77429, 77433, 77447, 77484.

Hours of Operation:

8 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday. Special scheduling outside these times is available upon request.

Pricing

Hospital Discharge: $35 (covers the first 5 miles of transportation with $3 per mile after)

General Transportation: $3 per mile.

Additional fees may be applied for services provided outside of normal operating hours.

Medical/Essential Needs

  • Within HCESD 8’s DIstrict: $5 base fee and covers 1st mile. Then $3.50/mile after.

  • Outside of HCESD 8’s District: $20 base fee and covers first 3 miles. Then $5/mile after.

Shopping/Leisure

  • Within HCESD 8’s District: $15 base fee and covers first 3 miles. Then $5/mile after.

  • Outside of HCESD 8’s District: $30 base fee and covers first 3 miles. Then $6.50/mile after.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance for medical transportation is available for qualifying participants who live within our emergency district. Financial assistance is based on the current Federal income guidelines.
